Doctor of Chiropractic · Musculoskeletal Care
Elite-athlete musculoskeletal care — from Ironman to your recovery.
Dr. Paul Porter is a Doctor of Chiropractic with over a decade of experience specializing in comprehensive musculoskeletal care. He focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of conditions affecting the spine, peripheral nerves, joints and soft tissues — providing evidence-informed care that restores function, improves performance and supports long-term musculoskeletal health.
His commitment to multidisciplinary care began in 2011 when he joined the medical treatment team at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii; caring for elite world-class athletes shaped his philosophy of precise diagnosis, performance-driven rehabilitation and restoring optimal movement without unnecessary intervention. He earned his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose in 2014, after a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus in Cognitive Neuroscience from Virginia Tech, and holds advanced training in musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.
He integrates advanced rehabilitation technologies — including extracorporeal shockwave therapy and Class IV laser therapy — to stimulate tissue repair, reduce inflammation, improve circulation and accelerate recovery of tendons, ligaments, cartilage and peripheral nerves. His philosophy is simple: diagnose accurately, treat strategically, restore function completely.
